Winner of multiple awards and on over 50 best-of lists, "In The Family" is a heartfelt story woven around "Two-Dad" families, loss, interracial relations, the American South, and the human side of the law. The ﬁlm explores what it means to be a family when Joey's partner, Cody, dies in a car accident, upon which Joey learns that their son, Chip, has been willed to Cody's sister. In his now solitary home life, Joey searches for a solution. The law is not on his side, but his friends are.

STORY UNDER THE STARS

This fun outdoor movie-screening series is held every August and is brought to you by the BFF and Exergy Friends of Story Mansion. This Summer's films were "The Princess Bride" and "The Horse Whisperer" with special introduction by Producer Patrick Markey.
