The film Festival takes place in the historic downtown of Bozeman Montana. The key venues for parties and films will be at the Ellen Theatre, The Rialto-by Tinworks, The Tune Up Bar— located in the Armory Hotel, and the Baxter Ball Room.

Our 2026 lineup will showcase Narrative and Documentary Features, Montana-made films, and Short Films across Narrative, Documentary, and Adventure categories, with a separate category dedicated to College shorts. BFF is also thrilled to announce the Emerging Filmmakers Program in partnership with Media Mavericks, an inspiring new initiative from Montana PBS education, to feature submissions from high school students around the country.
