BFS President 2006-2013| Board Member 2002-2005 . Lisa has called Bozeman home since 1978 after spending her youth as a military brat. She received a B.A. in Theater Arts at MSU Bozeman in 1985 where she was fortunate to have studied Film and TV with many of the early originators of Bozeman Film Festival, Inc. She loves working with the incredible Board of Directors to carry the BFF torch forward –and Keep 'em flickering!

Doreen deRoque
Director of Operations and Events
BFS Board Member 2026. Doreen is a Midwestern native who spent 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Bozeman in 2023. An avid film lover & frequent film festival attendee, she brings both a deep appreciation for cinema and values film as a powerful tool for connection, conversation & community building. Currently working at the University of CA, Berkeley, Doreen brings extensive experience in event & project management, community outreach & board management. She is thrilled to be part of the festival team, bringing this community event to Bozeman!

Lincoln Sevier
Programming
BFS Vice President 2023-25 | Board Member 2023-present.
Lincoln Sevier grew up in Billings and received a degree in Media Theatre Arts from MSU Bozeman. After 14 years of living and working Los Angeles, Lincoln moved back to Bozeman in 2021, where he works remotely for Lionsgate and dedicates his surplus of energy to promoting film culture in Montana.

Heather Miller
Graphics | Web Director
BFS President 2023–24 | Board Member 2021–present. Heather believes in the power of film to spark conversation and bring a community together, and she's proud to help champion independent cinema in downtown Bozeman. A product designer and entrepreneur, she loves bringing ideas to life, from user interfaces and brand identities to Montana landscape paintings. When she's not on the BFS board, she's teaching skiing at Bridger Bowl, hiking and cycling with friends, or exploring the world.

Aaron Kamphe
Marketing Advisor
BFS Board Member 2025-present Both locally-rooted and globally-attuned, Aaron’s life experience includes being part of a five-generation Montana cattle ranching family, being ‘raised’ on the slopes of Red Lodge Mountain, graduating from Boston University, and owning an international adventure travel company. Over the past 25 years, Aaron has worked in sales, marketing, brand development, and management for companies with national and international reach. Happily based in Bozeman, Aaron functions as WHJ’s COO and still finds time to write and edit for the publication… except on a powder day. ​

Emily Hook
Technical Director
Emily Hook is a nonprofit and creative professional with a background in digital strategy, event marketing, and community engagement. Since 2018, she has served as Program Manager for the Montana Mindfulness Project, supporting programming, communications, and organizational growth. In 2022, she co-founded EM.Designs a creative agency that serves small businesses and nonprofits with website development, event marketing and digital strategy. Emily is passionate about storytelling, community-building, and supporting mission-driven organizations through creative and meaningful engagement. Having been part of the founding team of the BZN International Film Festival and a full-time volunteer for the Sundance Film Festival, Emily is thrilled to help bring the Bozeman Film Festival to life.

Bruce Brown
Commitee Member, Legal
BFS Board Member 2025 - present. Bruce Brown is happy to be a retired lawyer. He is also grateful that the Montana Historical Society Press and Ian Campbell Wilson have provided him with the opportunity to narrate and produce the audiobook for Catastrophe at Custer Creek. Bruce and his wife, Asako, live in Montana where they raised three children, all of whom have now fled to big cities. He is interested in historic architectural preservation and in the summer of 2026 is hoping to complete work on his fourth project, a 1910 log cabin in the Flathead Valley. In touch with the exhibitionist side of his personality, Bruce has been volunteering at the Ellen Theatre in Bozeman and is on the board of directors of the Bozeman Film Society.

Chris Young
Commitee Member, Legal
BFS Board Member 2017-2023, 2025 - present. BFS past President. Chris grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and earned a BA in Comparative Religion from Carleton College in 1987, where he also met his wife. After graduating magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2001, he practiced law in the Philadelphia area for 13 years. A 2013 visit to Montana inspired his return, and he now lives and practices law in Bozeman.
A former president of the Bozeman Film Society board and current treasurer of the Bozeman Curling Club, Chris can often be found on the ice in fall and winter. Married for over 30 years, he enjoys spending time with his four adult children.

Mikey Gray

Ian Groueff
Committee Member
Ian Groueff is a first year volunteer for the Bozeman Film Festival with a background in restaurant hospitality and Studio Art. He is an avid film collector and enjoys wilderness recreation, cooking, and live music.
