High School Student Film Category

In partnership with Montana PBS and Media Mavericks, the Bozeman Film Festival Emerging Filmmakers Program introduces a dedicated High School Student Film Category, complete with curated screenings and filmmaker Q&As. The festival is also proud to collaborate with Henry Scott, a talented high school filmmaker committed to elevating young voices, alongside Montana PBS Media Mavericks, an inspiring initiative that empowers Montana teens by giving their stories an authentic, engaged audience.

Together, these partners celebrate the next generation of storytellers by inviting students from across the country to share their creativity, originality, and unique perspectives through film. Each year, a standout collection of short films—highlighting imagination, technical skill, and the spark of emerging talent—will be curated into a dynamic festival screening. Presented in one of historic downtown Bozeman’s iconic venues, this special event connects young filmmakers with a live audience, creating an inspiring moment where new voices and bold ideas take center stage.
